Rune Stones
Rune casting, is a method of divination.
In one common rune-casting technique, the diviner can fling the pieces on the ground, pick three at random, and use the symbols inscribed on them to answer his client's question.
Alternatively, they can be placed in a bag, the bag shaken the bag, then cast the pebbles onto the ground. Runes that land face up serve for the divination.
No room to throw? Then choose your runes from the bag at random (as choosing scrabble tiles).
Runes are an ancient Germanic alphabet, used for writing, divination and magick.
They were used throughout northern Europe, Scandinavia, the British Isles, and Iceland from about 100 B.C.E. to 1600 C.E.
